GoodNews.com aims to seamlessly connect local people, local businesses, and local organizations in a powerful way for a good cause. The company was conceived from our belief that being socially responsible and giving back to our community should be as easy as getting a great deal.

To accomplish this, we’re working with local businesses to put together amazing deals, and then pairing every deal with a meaningful local cause. A portion of the proceeds from each deal purchased goes directly to the cause. Now it’s easy for all of us to donate and contribute to our local community.

Kevin Ham, CEO

Dr. Kevin Ham is the Ernst & Young 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year® for Technology, Pacific Region. He is regarded as a world leader in the business of direct navigation on the Internet (appearing as the cover story in Business 2.0 magazine in 2007) and founded Reinvent, Inc. in 2000. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is also active in the global community, regularly participating in mission trips around the world, providing medical aid and giving inspirational lectures.

Tony Lam, COO

Tony Lam is a senior executive with over 16 years of experience in the high-tech sector. His most recent positions were with Microsoft Game Studios, where he was the Director of Operations for the Vancouver location, and with Electronic Arts, where he was the COO for the Fusion business unit. When he’s not working or obsessing over the latest gadgets, he’s regularly contributing to a variety of non-profit causes.
