Each day, GoodNews.com features a hot deal on something fun to eat, see, or do in your city! We also feature a local cause that we are supporting for a minimum of two weeks. We get great deals by organizing shoppers together so that we can promise merchants strong sales volume in exchange for steep discounts. If enough people commit to buy a deal, everyone saves up to 90% on that exclusive offer in their city. Then, a portion of everyone's purchases are donated to a local cause. How can I get a deal?

When you see a deal that you like, simply click "Buy" before the offer ends. A minimum number of buyers must agree to make a purchase for the deal to be triggered. Once the online promotion period ends, if the deal attracted a minimum number of buyers then you'll receive an electronic voucher to redeem your fantastic deal or experience. If you want to make sure the deal goes through, share it with your friends and family through our social media tools!

What happens if not enough people agree to buy a deal?

If that happens, the deal is canceled and you won't be charged a dime. That's why it works best when you buy a deal you like and share the Good News with your friends. Buying together ensures that everyone gets the best deals possible.

Can I buy more than one voucher?

It depends. Some merchants choose to limit the number of vouchers each person can purchase, so everyone can have a chance to enjoy the experience. Others allow members to purchase as many as they wish for themselves and as gifts for others. Before purchasing a deal, check the fine print section where any terms and conditions will be clearly indicated.

You bet! If you want to change the email address associated with your account, simply go to My Profile. Enter the email address you'd like to use and save your changes. The next time you sign in, you will have to use your new email address.

How do I unsubscribe from daily deal emails?

We hope you won't ever want to unsubscribe from GoodNews.com deal emails! This means that you won't be able to open your inbox each day and find a hot local deal just waiting to be enjoyed! However, if you'd really like to unsubscribe, click on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any of our daily deal emails. You'll be taken to a confirmation page where you can choose to stop the delivery of deal emails.

Is my credit card information secure?

Yes, extremely secure. We use an encrypted Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection and your credit card information is transmitted directly to a safe electronic vault. We never store your credit card information on our servers.

How do I redeem my voucher(s)?

Once your credit card has been charged, you will receive an email with a link to print your voucher(s). You will see redemption instructions and information about the merchant. All you need to do is print your voucher using the print link in your account and take it with you to enjoy your deal. You can also sign in to your account and see all vouchers and receipts of your purchases in the My Deals section of your profile.

When do I get my voucher(s)?

You will receive your voucher(s) once the deal promotion ends on our site. We will notify you by email if the deal has been activated, and your credit card will be charged once the deal ends. You can print and use your voucher on the redeemable as of date specified on the voucher. If the deal is not activated, we will also notify you by email once the deal ends and your credit card will not be charged.

What if I lose my voucher(s)?

You can reprint voucher(s) at any time. Simply sign in to your account and click on the voucher you want to print.

Can I cancel a deal purchase?

You can cancel a deal purchase up until the time the deal is activated. Once the minimum number of buyers has been met and the deal is triggered, you may not cancel your purchase.

When will my voucher(s) expire?

Any restrictions, including the expiration date, will be stated on the voucher. This information will also appear on the deal feature page at GoodNews.com so that the details are available before you make the purchase.

No.

How many vouchers will I receive if I buy more than one voucher?

You will receive one confirmation email but separate vouchers for each unit purchased. This makes it easy to give a voucher as a gift.

Can I transfer my vouchers?

Yes. Vouchers are fully transferable. Your voucher will have your name on it but someone else can use it if you write in their name.

Can I get a deal after the time has run out?

Unfortunately, each deal has a specific window of availability. Once its time passes, the deal is no longer valid. Check the site every day, and you won't ever miss a deal. You can also subscribe to GoodNews.com to receive daily email alerts for amazing deals in your city.

Buying a Deal as a Gift

Can I give a voucher as a gift?

Yes! GoodNews.com vouchers make much better gifts than socks, ties or small appliances. There are two ways to purchase gifts:

  1. By clicking on the "Buy this deal as a gift!" button on the deal page.
  2. By clicking on the "Buy Now" button on the deal page and checking the "Buy this deal as a gift" box on the purchase page.

You can then decide how many vouchers you want to buy as gifts. Once you complete your purchase, you can personalize your gift voucher(s) in the My Deals section of your profile. Click on "Personalize this gift" to add recipient's info and create a personal message. You can choose to email the gift voucher to the recipient or simply print out the voucher.

Where are my gift vouchers stored?

Gifts you've given and received will be stored in the My Deals section of your account. You can add recipient's info and add a personalized message. You can choose to print or email the gift voucher to the recipient at anytime.

How do I know my gift voucher got to the gift recipient?

You can view the gifts you sent in the My Deals section of your account. Once we successfully deliver the gift email to the recipient, it will be marked as "Delivered." Once the recipient clicks on the email link to view and print their voucher, it will be marked as "Claimed."

What if I accidentally send the gift voucher to the wrong email address?

No problem! Your gift voucher will be stored in the My Deals section in your account, so you can easily resend it. Edit the recipient's email address by clicking on "Personalize this gift".

What if the recipient loses the gift voucher?

If you emailed the recipient the gift voucher, he or she can reprint it again by clicking on the link provided in the email you sent. If you printed out the gift voucher, you can go into the My Deals section of your account and reprint it.

Does the gift voucher expire?

Yes. Expiry dates for deals are determined by the merchant. The expiry date will be stated on the gift voucher, and will also appear on the deal feature page at GoodNews.com so that the details are available before you make the purchase.

I got a gift from someone, how can I use it?

You can use your gift voucher the same way you would use a regular GoodNews.com deal voucher - simply print it, bring it to the merchant, and enjoy! If you're a member of GoodNews.com, you can claim and add your gift voucher to your account. Your gift(s) will be stored in the My Deals section of your account. You can view and print your voucher at any time. If you're not a member of GoodNews.com, you can join or simply click the link in the email to view and print your gift voucher.

When does my gift voucher get sent?

If you have chosen the option to email your gift to the recipient, your gift voucher will be sent once a deal ends on our site (11:59 pm on the designated deal end date).

Earning Credits

When will my credits expire?

The expiry date of a credit depends on how you earned it. If a friend referred you, then you have 14 days to use your credit towards a deal before it expires. However, if you refer a friend and they purchase a deal within 14 days, then your credit doesn't have an expiry date.
