General Fine Print

These are the general rules that apply to every deal, unless otherwise specified on the deal fine print:

  • Can't be combined with other offers.
  • Must use in one visit.
  • Not valid for credit or cash back (unless required by law).
  • Voucher can’t be used until the redeemable as of date.
  • Voucher is non-transferable unless given as a gift.

Deal Fine Print

You’ll find the deal fine print under the business information on each deal page. The fine print tells you the voucher expiry date, whether or not your voucher can be used for alcohol, whether or not taxes and gratuities are included, and any other info the merchant has asked us to include.

Deal FAQs

Where can I see my vouchers?

Once you’ve purchased a voucher, you can always access it in the My Deals section of your profile. Simply sign in to your account and print your voucher.

How long do I have to wait to use my GoodNews.com voucher once I've purchased it?

You can print your voucher after the deal ends. See Today's Deal to find out when it ends. Check the voucher for the date on which it becomes redeemable.

Can I give a GoodNews.com voucher as a gift?

Yes! There are two ways to purchase gifts:

  1. By clicking on the "Buy as a gift!" button on the Deal page.
  2. By clicking on the "Buy Now" button on the deal page and checking the "Buy this deal as a gift" box on the purchase page.

You can then decide how many vouchers you want to buy as gifts. Once you complete your purchase, you can personalize your gift voucher(s) in the My Deals section of your profile. Click on "Personalize this gift" to add recipient's info and create a personal message. You can choose to email the gift voucher to the recipient or simply print out the voucher.

The fine print says "Limit 1 per person" but "May buy 5 as gifts." Can I buy myself multiple GoodNews.com vouchers as gifts to myself and use more than one?

No. Some merchants choose to limit the number of vouchers each person can purchase, so everyone can have a chance to enjoy the experience. If there is a limit per person, and you buy more than that, you must give the others away as gifts.

How much should I tip when I redeem my GoodNews.com voucher?

If you’re using a GoodNews.com voucher for a restaurant, spa or salon treatment, or any other service that you would normally tip on, please remember to tip on the full amount of your total bill (before the discount your voucher provides).
